The Indian Football Portal was an idea that came up in the early hours of a lockdown morning, as a plan to tackle the biggest hardship faced in the football industry today – unemployment!
The co-founders are doing very well in their football careers and were self-driven to dedicate this initiative as a social project to give back to the society. While the All India Football Federation, state bodies and district bodies are doing their bit to constantly upgrade the Indian football fraternity, we identified the internet as a supremely powerful tool to reach everyone involved in the game and enhance their knowledge and understanding. This is courtesy of The Indian Football Portal taking responsibility to deliver top-quality content in the domains of news reports, trial and job updates, expert interviews, blogs and vlogs, educational courses and services.
We take inspiration from the plethora of resources available at the click of a button in European football, that people can access from the comfort of their homes.
On an everyday basis, we strive to connect with players, coaches, administrators, referees, backroom personnel, media, parents, clubs, academies, governing bodies and fans. We consistently challenge ourselves to be the bearers of useful resources that can be effective in enhancing our audiences’ career prospects.
Since the inception and growth of the Indian Super League, Indian football has now got a growing fanbase with an increase in people who want to make the beautiful sport their livelihood, either as players or in non-playing roles. The Indian Football Portal aims to directly influence and assist such people to realize their goal.
Our team is currently working towards developing an extremely strong player and coach development section, through content and resources that would otherwise cost a fortune to obtain.
We have hosted interviews with industry experts including Bhaichung Bhutia, Stephen Constantine, Gouramangi Singh, Richard Hood, Ramon Calderon, Huw Jennings, Luca Caioli, Dudu Omagbemi and the late Subhash Bhowmick. All the interviews are accessible on our YouTube channel.
The Indian Football Portal have concluded two highly successful scouting courses with candidates from all over the country and we hope to run more courses on a very regular basis.
A strong passion for football and IT inclined Archis towards The Indian Football Portal project as he felt this was the perfect medium for him to practice his two favourite activities on one platform.
He is an AIFF qualified coach and expert in the Foundation Phase and Youth Development Phase categories. He has worked with academies, schools and football charities in Maharashtra.
Archis heads the coaching and administration at Pune Pioneers Football Club, overseeing the entire organization.
He says, "I started off in coaching by qualifying through the AIFF and thereafter was lost on where to go from there. This is where I identified how massive unemployment is in the Indian football industry. Through TIFP, we hope we have developed a resource that can enable players to find clubs, coaches to find jobs and all other non-playing professionals find the suitable openings. This is the rapidest way to reduce unemployment in Indian football.
